PinkPantheress Turned the 2026 CFDA Awards Into Her Own Golden Present

PinkPantheress’s look at the 2026 CFDA Awards made a case for red-carpet fashion with a point of view: a custom Coach outfit that was playful, polished, and unmistakably hers. At a ceremony in New York City celebrating American designers, the British singer arrived in gold lamé, finished with an oversized black bow. The effect was less conventional eveningwear than a present wrapped for the occasion.

The awards drew a starry crowd, including Hailey Bieber, Zoë Kravitz, and host Keke Palmer, who also wore gold. But PinkPantheress’s outfit had a story behind it. She’s been building a more considered relationship with fashion through her tour styling, and told Vogue that the process has expanded her understanding of it: “It’s really fun to dive into an art form with such an everyday necessity as fashion.”

A Coach look with a personal twist

Working with Coach designer Stuart Vevers, PinkPantheress drew on the label’s spring 2027 runway. She says the design needed little adjustment: its relaxed ’90s feel already matched the mood she and her team wanted. That’s the more interesting part of the collaboration. The look follows a runway idea, but the styling gives it room to feel personal.

A gold lamé bra top and floor-length skirt set the base; the oversized black tulle bow at the back supplied the surprise. A custom gold Coach Tabby 26 bag completed the outfit. PinkPantheress described the bow as celebratory and playful, while the brand’s signature details brought a more refined note. “It brought everything together,” she said of the bag.

At the event, she caught up with Vevers and ran into her friend Keith Herron, who runs the brand Advisry. The evening’s social side mattered, too: she called their conversation a “great chinwag.”

Taking a break after the red carpet

For now, PinkPantheress says she’s giving herself time away from music. She’s been pursuing other creative interests, which have taken up most of her time, and is looking forward to quiet nights at home watching films. New music plans, then, are on pause while she takes what she called a “hefty little break.”

Finishing the Look

The small details tell the story here: the back of the outfit gets its own moment, and the flats give way to a bag and a look meant for the evening. That shift is more telling than a simple change of shoes; it suggests the outfit was being readjusted for the occasion.
